Many thanks to Mr Killelay, Mrs Mahmood & Miss Robinson for creating such great quizzes.

Religious Studies Mastermind 2017

Each student ,from the AS Religious Studies class, chose a specialist subject from our Ethics or Philosophy course to revise and prepare for the Mastermind competition heats. Their questions for the specialist subject and general knowledge rounds were prepared by another student in the group. We had some competitive heats with the lowest scorer from each round being awarded the job of typing up their round's questions and answers for a revision booklet.
Meanwhile the winners from the five heats had to prepare for the Final where everyone wanted to win the trophy and be crowned Mastermind 2017. They were allocated one of the six topics we have in our summer exams and the non-finalists got cracking preparing the toughest questions they could. After a tense final when one contestant went awol for 20 minutes in a careers interview our winner was decided: Nicky whose knowledge of the Cosmological argument was outstanding.

Thank you to Mrs Strachen for organising such a fun way to revise, as it allowed students to demonstrate how much knowledge they'd acquired over the last eighteen months.

Sainsbury's Active Kids Vouchers

SEND THEM IN!

It's time to dig them out of your bags, get them out of your cars and double check down the back of the sofa to get those active kids vouchers in!

The last day to hand them into school is Wednesday 17th May!!!

Send them in with a student or hand them into the school office.

The school uses these to acquire vital resources, especially for PE and Home Technology and every voucher helps!

Year 7 Assembly

Last Fiday Mrs Smith's assembly focussed on The Winston Way and the need to be respectful of our community.  Students had the opportunity to reflect on making good decisions when going to and from school, going to the park and interacting with members of the public.
